Lewis,

Yes, I completely agree and the behavior shown by Yahoo is surely a 'straight road to hell'. Hope things go better for them!

I am adding your email at acm in my address book.

Regards

Aman,

I'm ok with any site having issues. It happens. Sometimes planned, sometimes not so much. The thing that gets me is the response. How a company responds to a complaint says a lot about their future.

Thanks.

Hi Tim. Yeah, I'm using the ACM.org account which is really a forwarding service offered by acm. I'm pretty sure they won't be going anywhere. I do have an email service at my databasewisdom.com domain. I guess I could use that. Right now I am just using it for comments about the web site. You make a good point though.

Oh my gosh! That's so damn terrible, sheer irresponsibility and nothing else! How much time it takes to fix such kind of issues? I mean, its nothing compared to the issues that we, Oracle community , face over OTN forums(and over MOS also at times) almost every alternate week. But kudos to Justin and his team, they make sure things work and work only most of the times! I completely agree that Yahoo was a giant and still is but if this is their gesture to support their users, its not going to be long when they would be forgotten just like Netscape!

Hi.

If I were you I would buy a domain name and use that for your mail. Many companies will sell you mail-only hosting for virtually nothing, or you could forward your mail to a web-based service like gmail or hotmail.

You will never have to change your email address again, regardless of the service you use. :)

Cheers
